The Very best of Prince

The Very Best of Prince is a top compilation album by Prince, launched in 2001. It consists of most of his commercially winning singles in their radio edits from 1979-1991, including the U.S. #1's "Let's Go Crazy", "When Doves Cry", "Kiss" and "Cream".

The collection does not contain the US #1 hit "Batdance", most likely due to licensing of the character Batman, Allmusic supposes that Batman album is being unofficially written out of his discography
